I was working with a someone partaking in a trainee contract, I working in 3 different areas of law and I was bale to experience what they did on a day to day basis.
I have been able to develop both analytical and article writing skills through being asked to both wrote up articles on varying topic, proof read documents and complete mock scenarios.
I enjoyed it very much, everyone was very welcoming!
I felt very valued throughout my week but especially in contentious taxes and banking as not only the trainees were welcoming but the solicitors in the department also welcomed me and were interested in what I was/what I wanted to get out of it as well.
Very well organised, I was a wear of where I was meant to be and what my allocated job was at al times this allowed me to enjoy the experience and focus on the work that I was being asked to without worrying about organization.
They set me off on tasks which I felt were useful to both me and them though I would have liked a little more feedback on the work that I had produced.
The company were fantastic in the support provided the equipped me with all resources I needed and made me feel welcome which really boosted my confidence.
All food and travel was covered allowing me to take part in this opportunity and gain the most out of it without worrying about expenses.
I feel that all the talks that I allowed to know what other options there were for me such as vacation schemes and the gap year programme making me a wear of more ways to enter law as a carer.
Yes
They were engaging and welcoming and I feel that my time there was invaluable.
Research a little about the areas you will in (E.G. basic terminology and 1 or 2 big cases of that area) so when you are set a task you have a little more background knowledge.
