  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • yes many. This role has improved my IT skills a lot as well as give me more awareness of the business sector. The training for the apprenticeship has also extended my knowledge of project management.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my job but I am not overly enthusiastic as sometimes it can feel like a business admin role which we were not aware of at all when we joined. In terms of the workplace and the people the job is great and it is a good opportunity. We have had issues over our future at HP as some apprentices are expected to graduate for the scheme in a months time and are still unaware of them still having jobs and pay

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Hewlett Packard Enterprise?
  • I feel fairly valued at HPE. I feel as though I have an important role to the company but I do feel as though that my role has less importance than others.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme in terms of learning from our provider is great but in terms of HPE the programme does not have an organized structure.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • My training provider is great and makes huge effort to help us complete our exams and coursework, as well as making sure we are happy in the workplace

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We receive an average amount. It sometimes feels as though we have been throwing in the deep end but it will most likely benefit us so overall the support is acceptable.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • This is the problem. As a level 4 apprentice, we get the exact same pay as level 2&3's and our pay rise is not going to be great. We also recently found out that after the apprenticeship, our pay does not significantly improve which I feel is hugely unfair as I took this role as oppose to university so I would expect the same pay as a grad as will have 2 years experience and loyalty to the company.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Unfortunately not. It feels as though you have to make a lot of effort for things like this to happen. We recently organized a 11 a side football match which was great but it is unlikely that will happen again any time soon

    4/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Hewlett Packard Enterprise to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel as though they have lied a bit to get us to work for them and then not give us the opportunities they have promised.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hewlett Packard Enterprise?
  • I would advise them to not expect everyone to help them and that in most cases you must rely on yourself
