Unix system maintenance in a live ops and incident management capacity
Yes I have learnt how to utlise UNIX, Oracle, Oracle SQL, Microsoft SQL, C, C++, shell scripting, INGRES databases, communication in a business environment, event management, and charity involvement
The job role is great with plenty of away from the desk opportunities but the apprenticeship itself was poorly organised
I am involved in running a DWP application day to day on my own, so quite valued
not very well organised, but they have cleaned up the program for the newer waves
Only had QA for a year, received a load of support in our role
The employer helped out a lot, only the apprentice manager wasn't very helpful
Its generous for an apprenticeship but only just covers living costs
