Im a Change Analyst. I look after Change and OCR requests, making sure they are approved in time to allow the work to be dne and also requesting and giving information.
I have developed on my existing skills of dealing with customers as in former jobs I worked in call centers and now I'm emailing the customer a lot I'm developing in my written communication. I also have gained the qualifications of the apprenticeship, learned about a new area of business and are able to take on training course in quiet times.
I have enjoyed my job very much. I think the train program was good and helped me gain knowledge but it needs to be more structured so that others can get the most out of it as possible.
When I have done a good job I am told by both the people im working with and also when they have escalated it to my manager which gives me rewards in the form of points ect.
the training through my apprenticeship was good but I would have liked more support when I was in my role. more visits that were better planned and gave time to talk about any work issues and how to deal with working in an office.
they were always available to email and would reply to give help and advice on course work. guidance with problems happens more within my company rather than with QA.
I receive a lot of support from my employer to make sure I am able to work but I would like more support in terms of development and progression
not very well. now im in my second year I don't think I should be paid as an apprentice. I do my job to a high standard and should get the normal rate of pay for my job.
I am going to be volunteering with a charity at the start of July for 1 day and I am able to do this because HPE give volunteer leave time.
Yes
as it is a good opportunity to get qualifications and learn a role. This has opened up many more doors for me and I believe it has given me a good starting point for my future.
Just apply! even if its not an area you have knowledge, as long as you want to learn they will teach you and it will open may new doors. on the assessment days just be yourself as they look for individuals who stand out not sheep. on boarding try and make sure you both enjoy it but also listen as a lot of it will set you up for future questions youd have.
