I have developed a wide range of existing computer skills. Along with gaining new skills from the training provided by my apprenticeship.

I enjoy my apprenticeship a lot, I moved into this field of work about 7 months ago, when I decided that my previous job (plumber) was not right for me. Since I have moved to 3m, my life has changed and I can finally see my future looking up.
4. How valued do you feel by 3M?
I feel pretty valued in my apprenticeship, I have my own responsibilities and people rely on me to get jobs done. This gives me a sense of self-worth, knowing that when I wake up in the morning I'm probably going to lighten up someone's day by solving one of their problems.
5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
My programme is pretty well organised - I have set responsibilities and projects. I also have regular meetings with my manager to discuss my progress or anything work related. My apprenticeship provider also have regular meetings with me, ensuring everything is going smoothly with my work placement and coursework.

I receive plenty of support from my employer, any jobs or tasks that I have that I may struggle with, I ask my manager and he always points me in the right direction.
7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
Not very well, when offered the apprenticeship I knew I would be taking a significant pay cut from my previous job, however I didn't quite realise how much it would affect me until my first pay check. though, this is only my first year, and I am expecting a significant pay rise at the end of my level 3 apprenticeship.
8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
I believe 3m operate sport teams, however I have not had a great look into this yet - but I do plan on. I do however have a gym membership - which is located on site.
