  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • App Support Analyst A day to day role involves providing Value to the business, this is normally done by solving any issues that may arise from a quick help in hand with finding a failure of a trade or a bug fix to run a report for the teams benefit. I have exposure to the business which is good as I have improved communication skills and know how to handle multiple situations no matter how they are thrown at me. As said before the main responsibilities is to provided a value to the business users so they can continue to trade and then provide their service to the custodians.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have endless opportunities within M&G to improve my skills and even more so to develop new ones, support through my apprenticeship is there when required and I am currently taking external courses to help improve knowledge and gain skills to make my day to day roles easier. Additionally from these courses I gain qualifications that are recognised industry wide, which is massively beneficial. I have been on Courses such as MTA Software Developer fundamentals and ITIL, I also have courses booked for the future of which one is JAVA. I think it is fair to say i'm currently on a very steep learning curve.
