  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Within the apprenticeship my role was HR Apprentice, this included various HR duties ranging from general data input, using Microsoft office, helping recruitment sorting through applications, assisting in interviews and much more within the role. While also maintaining my duties within HR I would also talk with both internal & external customers to ensure we delivered the best customer service we could provide.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When beginning the apprenticeship the organisation was excellent, every event, task and meeting of people within the business was set at specific times and the business stuck to this. As my apprenticeship progressed so did the structure, study times were always set at certain times, training was provided in a timely manner and constant support was always available whenever I needed it.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • From both my training provider and manager alike within the business, I received more support than I could of asked for. It was easy to ask for support when it was needed and whoever was asked for the support would go out of their way to help provide the support or also ask others if they could support.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As mentioned above, the support from both training provider and employer was incredible. I received more support than I could of asked for, everyone was always willing to go above and beyond, the extra mile to provide support if they could, if they were unsure, they would ask fellow coworkers to also assist if able.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Within the apprenticeship it was difficult to live off of the salary as it was the national minimum apprenticeship wage which is under £3 per hour to begin with however, the business rewards those who work hard and so it didnt take long for the business to notice my hard work, midway through my apprenticeship my salary was upped to the national minimum wage at that time which was roughly £6.50.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend it as since being here, I have enjoyed my time thoroughly, am working with a great team, met great people and the company has provided opportunities for me to progress within the business and gain more knowledge even after my apprenticeship ended.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Hadland Care Group?
  • Tips or advice I would give to anyone applying is firstly make your application stand out, make your attributes stand out. Before interviewing research the company as the business likes to see you know what the business is about, the business progression from the first year it opened to now and their goals for the future. Within the interview be yourself and say what you believe and not what you think the business wants to hear. Whether you have a little experience or years worth, apply as the business wants people who want to progress and be there for a long time.
