  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned an awful lot more about the microsoft applications than i previously knew. Also the exposure to SQL server has been good for my development

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The learning level from the education side of things is well above what I actually do with my work. this affords me the opportunity to advance quicker and further above my job role

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Fujitsu?
  • I do feel valued here. I have participated in two top level divisional meetings in my time here, where the heads of the division I work in the company come to our site and have a round table discussion about past, current and future services and business. Which is quite pleasing to be thought of when considering where the company is going

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is quite well organised. The tech seems to have a good grasp on what we need to do to qualify. They did bring in a new offsite assessor who didnt really help things but they have now left and things are looking up there

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • They support me very well. anything i am not sure of they always have a listening ear. they always make time for any issues i may have

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I get plenty of support from my employer. Time is dedicated to study as well as plenty of new challenges in the workplace to try and test/further my development

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Not well in the slightest. I am currently below the bread line. I do take issue with one thing in particular this way. As good as it is being involved in new, more challenging work in the workplace, getting paid crumbs for doing the work of a £25K+ earning colleague is very disheartening, as well as having to travel 50 miles due to my geographical location to work each day is a struggle on this salary, whereas 90% of my colleagues travel between 1 mile and 20 miles.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are, but due to my geographical location again, I do not partake in many as it is quite a journey each day as it is to get home to my family without spending more time up here

    2/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Fujitsu to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • My friends are where i live. i would not advise the travelling unless you earn over £60K and can afford to pay a driver. The availability of public transport in this country is terrible. I am 25 miles from the nearest train station, in the opposite direction from my workplace. The buses start at 6.30 10 miles away, meaning for an 8.00 start I would be 45 minutes late getting to work

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
  • Dont apply unless you live near the site. If you do live near hand, by all means apply away, its a good opportunity for furthering yourself and career
