My position in the company is a Technical Support Specialist. My responsibilities include product support, training, proactive and reactive support tasks, etc.
Since competition of the apprenticeship I have developed professional skills and confidence in the IT industry. I have received multiple Microsoft certifications, compTIA certifications and other industry recognised training.
I enjoyed my apprenticeship very much. I have had various opportunities to learn new things, I work in a dynamic team and the culture is very good.
I feel that I am a valued team member. I receive recognition of my work from other colleagues and customers. I receive opportunities to extend my skills working on new projects where possible.
My training initially started off quite poor. The college that provided the training were not very organised, however once Fujitsu raised concerns things started to turn around. I ended up completing my apprenticeship early.
As per the above, my training provider were not very organised when I first started and this went on for a bout 6 months, but eventually things started to turn around and I completed my two year course in just under a year.
My employer was very supportive during and after the apprenticeship. My manager would provide regular one-two-ones to discuss progress and how to develop my career.
My apprenticeship provided me with a good salary for my lifestyle. After competition of my apprenticeship my salary increased which was beneficial to me
I have been given different opportunities to support CSR work. I have taken part in quizzes during the evening and many other events. I am part of Fujitsu's Thames Valley Club, which gives access to discounted leisure activities as well
Yes
Overall, my apprenticeship has been very beneficial to me. It has helped me to get on the step ladder in the IT industry. I would recommend apprenticeships with Fujitsu because they are very supportive.
