1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
My Role includes carrying out quality assurance on work that has been created throughout the bank and to provide relevant feedback on this work but role changes regularly as part of apprenticeship in my team
2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
i have learn a large range of new skills as well as developing new skills that i can use, these range from improving my knowledge of the different programs used eg different features not used before and learning how to do things i have never done before
3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
I have enjoyed the program very much so far apart from all the beaurocracy within the organisation due to all the regulations on the bank they are neccessary but are working to reduce it to the minimum required
4. How valued do you feel by RBS?
I feel very valued and feel like the bank is trying to keep us as happy as possible to provide the best experiences and to keep us in the bank to become a future member of the bank.
5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
The program feels like it could be structured a lot better and i think with complaints that were made this year has been restructured, the main issue was the training that was provided to us at the start.
6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
The Support from the chosen providers is not the best due to long distance between where work is and where training takes place and causes difficulty in continuous help
6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
the employer is very supportive of me and help with anything that is needed to help us complete our apprenticeship such as extra training time or hours worked
7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
The Salary/benefit package is very good and much better than any other apprenticeship that i had encountered but as with most people my age they see money and just spend it so until i learned how to budget properly i always seemed to run out
8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
there are lots of activities held within the team and also between apprentices that are good for socialising and networking between collegues to increase socialising and knowledge
9a. Would you recommend RBS to a friend? *
9b. Why? *
i would reccomend RBS to a friend as it is a helpful organisation which helps the apprentices grow and offers one of the best wages for the roles available
10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RBS? *
i would advise them to gather as much knowledge on bank as possible for the interview as it helps when they ask what you know about the bank and if you give a good answer you will be remembered, also once you know the department you will work for then you should do some research on this also
