  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am Assistant Technical Analyst, my day to day role involves admin work such as dealing with projects and managers, I deal with new projects coming into the business and follow them through until the end. I am responsible for costing up projects such as how much it will cost and the complexity of it.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am currently doing a Level 4 in business administration but will then look at doing the Level 5 in business Management, I also do internal training such as Excel and any other personal development

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the program, the team I work with are great the offer me great support and help me progress in my career. The provide me with the opportunity that will help me develop and gain new skills

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Boots?
  • I feel very valued by Boots because my manger makes sure that I am coping with my work and that I am getting as much opportunities to grow. I feel as if i am helping with the growth of my team and bring new ideas to the table

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course is very well organised, each week I have a delegated time to get my NVQ learning done, I have support from a teach who will help if needed. Also my manager is very flexible if I need to spend time working on my NVQ

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I have support there if needed but we are encourage to do it independently and then have 1 to 1 meetings to review, however if I am struggling I do have direct support from my teacher.

  • My manager gives me support with my day to day work but also my NVQ work this is great because it allows me to progress with my career

  • My salary allows me to cover all cost and allows me to enjoy my social life but also save up.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes, i have recently joined a football team with workers from Boots but also go out on career fairs to promote Boots learning opportunities
