Business Operations Apprentice Review

I work with the process where we give our partners funding in order them to carry out projects with their customers, and in turn we get a return on investment. My role includes reporting and analysing data and working with PSE’s (Partner Sales Executives) to help manage projects and get them completed on time.

Communication skills, team building skills. Sales skills, Excel skills.

I really enjoy my job but some days it can get quite stressful due to the workload.

Extremely valued by my managers. We always have catch-ups so they can monitor my progress and it gives me the opportunity to tell them any worries or concerns I have with my role.

To start off with, my job role responsibilities were not keeping me busy enough and I have therefore now moved teams to a Sales role with new responsibilities. There are a lot of training schemes that are open to me, a long with support meetings.

Minimal - apart from when the training provider come on site.

A lot of support. there is a lot of guidance and training sessions on offer. Apprenticeship manager here at Microsoft is always on hand.

Travel costs are minimal due to the free shuttlebus. My salary manages to cover all my costs.

A huge amount e.g. GetOn, travelling to local schools to talk to children about applying for an apprenticeship.
