I am a Customer Service Representative here and this involves with me with plenty of activities to do during the day. My mornings are usually occupied by running the daily reports on undelivered orders. After this there are a huge range of tasks that need to be completed such as entering orders for companies and helping out the various teams.
During my time here I have learnt how to use both of the system that are used here and they are continuing to train us on SAP as time goes on. I have learnt proper email etiquette and how to talk to customers more professionally. My excel skills have greatly improved along with gaining experience of working within a business.
I am very much enjoying my time here. Everyone is very friendly and I feel like an integral part of my team. It has exceeded far expectations and I hope to carry it on further.
I feel very valued here at 3M. We have been involved in plenty of projects for the upper management and once the projects have been completed we receive plenty of praise. I have also received a STAR Award for a piece of work I have completed.
We have a set schedule which we follow. We are set to work with different teams everyday. If we have any issues there are plenty of people we can talk to whether it be my manager or my mentor.
The training provider offers a wide range of support. My assessor is very friendly and offers to help wherever he can. There's plenty of online support if I am ever struggling or I can just email my assessor.
Our employer offers plenty of support. I have an assigned mentor who offers her support but also I can go to any of the team leaders who are more than happy to help with any issues at hand although
The salary is enough to cover all my expenses and allows me to also save some as well. There is a lunch room where you can bring in your own meals and store them in the fridge so you don't have to buy expensive meals everyday and they offer a free car park so I don't have to pay for parking either.
There are plenty of clubs here. They have a charity club where you can sign up to help charities. There are also lots of company events such as Sales Meetings where you get to go to a conference and meet other people who work for 3M.
Yes
3M was very welcoming and if offers a great opportunity for anyone that wants to learn and progress at the company at the same time. I really feel that this would be beneficial to anyone that is looking for an apprenticeship as getting to train while working is very rewarding.
You should do a bit of research about 3M before your interview because knowing about the company impresses them a lot. Also they like you working on your own initiative so if you get hired you should ask around for work as everyone will have plenty of work for you if you get bored.
