My role is doing Enterprise Account Administration Support which basically means I support the UK Technical Account Managers in all their admin needs. My specific role entails sending out email comms with over 4000 UK customers, working on onboarding new customers to Premier and supporting high security customers.
I have gained a huge amount skills while being at Microsoft. I've really got a great overall starting knowledge of a lot transferable skills from both my role, internal training and the QA training.
I've loved the people I've met at Microsoft and the environment around the office is great. The QA qualifications I've gained was hard but a great challenge also. I love a challenge - and this have defiantly been one!
I feel like my team and to an extent the wider Services business feel the value of me being at Microsoft. Also the other departments I've been able to work with have appreciated my work.
At times there have been moments of un-organisation however overall its been very well managed. The induction, training and connect support programme have all be well structured.
My assessor I had at QA was such a huge help in my qualification. Without her I doubt I'd have done as well as I did! She always seemed very willing to offer help and support whenever I needed.
I feel very supported by my team in both my development and my role. Also the HR team have offered so much support - especially at the end when I was searching for my next steps
I feel like the wage I have received has left me with a good amount of disposable income. With my shopping addition it was a stretch at points but I've learnt to live with what I get. Good life lessons.
There are loads of groups/clubs to join however I haven't expanded into them personally. I have made a lot of close friends here though who I see out of work. I've also been able to get involved in volunteering days.

Its such a good experience to get! Starting your career at Microsoft is such a good base, you can get experience in pretty much anything you can think of. Also its such a great environment to begin in as its so helpful and welcoming but they also push you and expect a lot. Responsibility is very quick to come your way so the feeling you get from working there is very worthwhile!
Prepare yourself with knowledge of Microsoft and it's values. If you show you have the same values as the company then its easy to see you fitting in. Be yourself - no one want to hire someone who brings no personality, especially at Microsoft!
