  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role within my apprenticeship is to move around the business in placement block of any time scale. To learn as much about the business and the way it works whilst being beneficial to the company and carrying out roles in these placments

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • One of the main skills that I have developed is my presentation skills I believe this is because all of the meeting that I take part in I can take the good points from others to improve mine. Also my confidence when speaking to a number of people at once.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My programme is very enjoyable they allow the whole group of apprentices to communicate together as one whilst also working together as a team to achieve a goal.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Siemens?
  • In Siemens I get a great amount of appreciation from the people around me like my manager, other apprentices but also general employees in my area.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme structure is really good. what is required of is is communicated and also taught. We all have a very set structure for example placements.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I receive %110 support from my allocated training provider, if there is any question I have I am always guaranteed an answer. Even if he isn't on site.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive just as much support from my employer as I do from my training provider they take all of my issues and thoughts into consideration and feedback on there progress.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary that I am provided with isn't good compared to meeting my costs. Things like college takes up a lot of money due to the hours that I am there also the traveling to and from work.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Outside of work there are meant voluntary activities that I can take part in also gym memberships offered and also a lot of community work is available for us to carry out.

  • 9. Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
  • Yes

  • They are a company that doesn't consider you as just a number on the system you are seemed as a valued employee and will take your thoughts at interest.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
  • If you were to make it through to the assessment stage ask as many questions as possible find out as much as you can to see if the apprenticeship is really for you.
