1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

On the first day of the Business Insight Week, everyone taking part in the scheme went to the Birmingham office for the induction day which consisted of team building exercises. Then, for days 2-4 I went to the Uxbridge office and shadowed my buddy. Whilst there, I did a variety of things and even got to have a meeting with a partner. On the final day, I went to the More London office where a live client came to give us a task which we completed for the rest of the day.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I improved many skills including networking, through meeting lots of new people and team working, through the tasks on the first and last day. I also learnt how to act and dress in a professional environment.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I absolutely loved it! Everyone was so welcoming and the company had such a friendly atmosphere. I was able to actually do work, rather than just shadowing and getting in the way and it completely exceeded my expectations.

4. How valued do you feel by PwC?

I felt highly valued due to the level of involvement I had. My buddy allowed me to sit in on meetings, help her with her work and even arranged for me to have a meeting with a partner. The employees helped me to feel comfortable throughout the week.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was very well structured. Before we started, we were given a timetable for the week and the induction on the first day really helped us settle into the week. The buddies made sure that we were never left bored and that we always had something to do.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

I received a lot of support, the buddies were so helpful! If I ever had an queries or needed help with anything, my buddy was always quick to help me and tried to answer all of my questions.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

The employer was very welcoming and helpful throughout the week which made everyone feel at ease. Any problems and queries were dealt with quickly and efficiently, which meant that I didn't feel like too much of a nuisance.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

The package was an added extra, as I would have happily taken part for free! My travel costs to and from the Birmingham and More London offices was covered in their travel expenses policy and the package more than covered my travel to the Uxbridge office.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

There were many opportunities outside of work. The Business Insight Week helped me to improve on my employability through the daily Webex sessions and it gave me the opportunity to meet with other like-minded people.
