Helping with the auditing for clients. Involves me doing calling and casting on the financial statements and helping with other jobs that need to be done.
I have developed my ICT skills especially when using excel. I have also developed skills in communication and teamwork. Also skills specifically required in FS auditing.
I have really enjoyed taking part in this programme. The work I have been doing is fun and interesting and I have also especially enjoyed speaking with a wide variety of people who work at the different levels of the business and finding out about their experiences with BDO.
I feel very valued, everyone in the office is really welcoming and helpful and make sure we have jobs to do each day.
We have different schedules each day. Sometimes we are in the office working or sometimes I get to go to the clients office and work from there.
We get a lot of support, especially from our buddies. If ever we are stuck we can speak to them or email them and they get back to us very quickly and are more than happy to come and support us.
We get a lot of support from our employer, they are very willing to help us if we need it.
Our travel is being paid for which is very useful and so our salary meets out costs well.
There are some events that we could attend however because we are only here for two weeks we have not taken part in hem. However we have been out for lunch a few times with our managers and buddies and other people we have been working with.
Yes
It is a very dynamic, agile and successful business that really values its staff and is dedicated to a team approach and is still clear on responsibilities and accountabilities.
Be outgoing and enthusiastic and make sure you ask questions to make sure you get the most out of your time at BDO.
