  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • During my time at the firm I was given a real perspective on what being a lawyer was like. The firm was very welcoming and everyone was willing to help with any problems they had. I felt that I was treated as an equal and the lawyers put trust in me to help them with the cases they were working on. Over all this was an amazing experience and I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone who wants to experience what its like to be a trainee at a law firm

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of skills from my time here, I have learnt how to work with others by splitting up a task into manageable sections whilst ensuring I stay on track to complete it. I have learnt a lot more about the role of a commercial law firm and what it does on a daily basis. Most of all I have learnt key skills that will give me a head start when I go on to study law in a few years

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The trainees help you in every aspect of your day whilst at the same time expecting you to carry on with tasks without them constantly giving guidance. They are extremely busy with their own work and this has only helped me learn how to work on my own and solve my problems
