  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job title is kitchen sales design apprentice, however; on a day to day basis my role varies. I could be helping in the warehouse, serving on the counter, taking phone calls, going on kitchen measures & designing kitchens on the KAD system. The apprenticeship is enjoyable and because my day to day role varies this means I can get to know products better & ensures that more often than not I'm busy.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • It all depends on which route an individual opts for. Sixth form is a good alternative to an apprenticeship but for me, sixth form wasn't ideal which is why I started looking for an apprenticeship and I believe I am rather fortunate finding a job at Howdens.
