Yes. I have already had the opportunity to attend another course which is outside of my apprenticeship. The internal site has a wealth of knowledge to help support your career at Nomura.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

10/10

I really enjoy my programme. Whilst gaining so many new skills in the workplace I am also gaining knowledge by the teaching from my assessor. I have only been on two training days so far but they were very good and I was very happy with the support that I was given.

4. How valued do you feel by Nomura?

10/10

I feel very valued by Nomura. I am very lucky that I work for a very good team who all get on well together and all help each other out when they can. My manager is extremely supportive and is always there to answer my questions and go over things with me if I am not sure of something. I am always involved in tasks set by the CAO (our team lead) and the team always make me feel important and include me on all discussions.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

10/10

As of yet I have not had my induction to the apprenticeship scheme as I was not able to make it. Separately I had my induction with Nomura on the first day I joined which gave me an overview of who they company are, what their values are etc. My assessor has been in to visit me twice and is always very supportive and helpful. She is always available for me to contact should I feel it's necessary.

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

8/10

From my assessor herself and the teacher from the training I felt supported which put me at ease.

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

10/10

I couldn't ask for anymore support off my employer. They are so heavily supportive of their staff and treat everybody very well. Nomura are very supportive and this makes me feel valued and also comfortable in my job.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

10/10

I've never been too good with money but Nomura are very fair with their salaries. I earn enough money to pay my travel, pay for lunch and clothes and still have money to go out and enjoy myself.

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

10/10

The company hold a wide range of events. They have a lot of benefits such as using the gym at a reduced rate. They are currently working with a charity for the next two years and have many events planned. When I am not working I tend to spend time with my friends but also use the gym that is provided as it is also a social place.

9a. Would you recommend Nomura to a friend? *

Yes

9b. Why? *

Nomura is a very well respected company and they are a pleasure to work for. You can learn so much whilst being here and they are so supportive. They have a wide range of benefits they offer, they are a good company to have on your CV. Nomura are very good to their employees in so many aspects that I most definitely would recommend them to a friend.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Nomura? *

The application process was very easy in itself as when applying for an apprenticeship you go through the apprenticeship company who select a few people to attend interviews with the employer. The interviews for myself span over 3 weeks but there were some issues with the previous apprentice that they want to be 100% sure. The interviews were very fair, I always felt like I got my chance to talk and I got a very good insight into the role.
