Loading and unloading of lorries, sorting out parcels and letters ready for onward dispatch to customers.
Yes, I have learnt the correct manual handling techniques, communication with management, colleagues and customers. I have also learnt about the environmental impact of all operations and also waste reduction.
I have enjoyed the interaction with other depots within Amazon and have both enjoyed and appreciate the extra knowledge learnt
It is very well structured. You can learn at your pace even though there are deadlines for certain tasks. The tutor is always available for any problems that may arise.
A lot. Amazon will allow you all the time that you need to complete the course and will also help move schedules around if so required.
Every week I am given a time slot so I can contact my tutor for both support and assistance if needed. I have both individual support and group sessions so I can keep up to date with learning
Through the apprenticeship I have learnt several new roles and tasks within my depot. It is also very useful if or when I move depots as I can carry it across to a different depot.

It is a good job where the staff are good to work with and the work is not to taxing. Everybody, no matter who you are is made to feel welcome.
Be prepared to work hard at Christmas as it can be very hard work but the pay can be very rewarding. Always try and be creative and willing to learn as there is always chance for progression.
