As an assistant relationship manager in commercial banking, I support my manager in managing a diverse portfolio of businesses, helping to ensure smooth day to day banking and relationship development.
I've developed communication and people skills, whilst also deepening my banking knowledge.
The programme is well structured
My employer is extremely supportive
I receive lots of support from my training provider, BPP, especially as they provide a coach that I have a review call with monthly and can always reach out to for support
There are opportunities for community work, delivering support for schools at careers fairs/ CV writing skills workshops. Also there is an apprenticeship council within NatWest that arrange social events for apprentices to go to and connect with each other
Yes
NatWest are a supportive employer, with many employee benefits and the management are interested in personal development as an individual, and are keen for us to grow and prosper after the apprenticeship role.
When applying, ensure you understand NatWest's values and think about how they align with your personal values, and also how you would implement these values in day to day life both outside work and in the job role. Also, read into the apprenticeship job role you're applying to, and the type of individual NatWest are looking for to fill this role. Example: Natwest mention in the job description that "they're looking for an enthusiastic individual who is always looking to develop processes". Look at this and as yourself the following questions: - Does this individual sound like me? -If so, how can I/ have I shown being an enthusiastic person/ made a system/ process better -If I haven't done this before, think of a process I can make better and how I can do so?
