I help users with any issues that they have with their devices. I also proactively look at ways to identify and treat issues before they affect the end user. I liase with other teams to understand computer systems at a deeper level and also find out how to conduct a higher level of investigating issues and fixes
I learnt a lot of technical skills whilst in my apprenticeship, such as learning how to correctly diagnose problems and how to go about fixing them with any application. I have also developed my confidence skills. I am lucky to be in a company that focuses on learning, and therefore I have had a lot of opportunities to develop my skills in areas that are not focused on in my apprenticeship programme, such as Azure, more in depth PowerShell, and MS Power Apps
I am enjoying my programme a lot as it has allowed me to fully immerse myself into a job that I have always wanted to be a part of. It has allowed me to develop a lot of my skills and equip me for my future.
It is well structured, however to be really nit picky, the only thing that I find a bit different is the fact that a lot of the learning is really theoretical, with little to none hands on experience with it, be it in sandbox environments or something like that.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. I find that my manager and mentor will always put time aside for me and be there to answer any questions that I may have.
I receive a bit of support from QA, although the communication channel is not the best. I don't think this is any fault of my mentor, more the application that is used to send communication. I do find that when there is an issue, it can take quite a while to get an answer.
I think that the training that I have attended has definitely helped me in my role. The way that it has helped me is by aiding me to think more in depth and logically about certain aspects within my role, which is something I had little experience with
There are quite a few extra-curricular activities, such as volunteering days. In the festive periods, there are also things like easter egg hunts, and other holiday-related activities
Yes
I would recommend M&G because I feel as the company have amazing employees, people who treat you like a human. I also feel as M&G has a great culture where nobody is left out, everyone is typically on the same page. The company makes you feel valued and heard
Put your all into it. Get involved with activities. Go out of your way to network. Push yourself to try things that you have never tried as that is the best way to learn
