  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Interacting with customers of the bank - holdings product specific sales meetings with these customers following a referral from their relationship team. Helping with the onboarding and application process - chasing up the customer and relevant departments etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Massively developed with my confidence when speaking with customers of the bank, feel much less under pressure then I would have done previously. Significant developments in time management skills and also diary management. using tools to keep track of all of my ongoing deals has been really important.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really enjoying it - I like working in a professional environment with professional people. I like how everyday is different - no two customer meetings are the same as generally the businesses I am speaking to vary in both scale and sector.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is well structured - I am able to set aside the 6 hours per week for my study that I am required to do. It is also well organised in terms of my day to day work - I have worked up to a high level while not feelings overwhelmed very often.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There is lots of support. I have weekly meetings with my manager and there is also lots of other support available. Network of apprencitfes champions and also the early talent team.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Have reviews often and am able to easily contact my coach via email. Provides guidance regarding how to study more effectively

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification is very relevant to my role and I do think it is paced well. The qualification ramps up in difficulty over time which isn't too much of a problem as I am now starting to feel more comfortable in my day to day role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of activities to be involved with on the apprenticeship. There have been many socials including Christmas and Ramadan socials. There is also development related events which aim to improve our skills relevant to the role.

  • Yes

  • I have enjoyed my time working here so far, I feel well compensated for the work I do and also believe there are prospects to advance within this business in the future.

  • Make sure to research the company beforehand. Ensure all answers are in line with the general ethos and characteristics of the business.
