  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Consultancy work and therefore it varies depending on the project. Currently I meet daily with my team and complete changes to the systems we create on the project.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Both soft and technical skills have been developed. I am regularly speaking to my team and engaging with clients, as well as improving my knowledge of the Cloud, business agility and a variety of coding languages.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am able to freely to try new tasks regardless of my level of experience. I am able to lead a variety of tasks, such as a running a coding club for students. My own career development is a priority, to both managers and every member of the company.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • There is a lot of structure within my programme, I am able to work flexibly on university when needed. I am offered up to 30 days additional leave to work towards my dissertation.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a great amount of support from both managers and the wider company. I am moved projects based on my preferences and skill development. I am given time to train and try new skills. My project prioritizes my understanding and developing my skills.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider offers a great deal of support. Regular contact from both my training coordinator, lecturers and course lead.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am more confident within my skills and able to practice existing skills further.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The Sports and Social Club organizes 2-4 events at my office each month. Ranging from airsoft, to seeing musicals, axe throwing, inflatable 5k, pottery painting and much more. Activities run at a range of times for any activity for free as an apprentice.

  • Yes

  • The work culture is fantastic and the support I have given has been incredible for my development. Everyone is happy to teach you new skills and stretch you to become a better developer. I could not recommend it enough.

  • Be confidence and be yourself.
