I work on availability and capacity, tracking data and finding solutions with the client to improve the service. Additionally, I work on knowledge management, creating and updating knowledge articles to suit users needs.
I have learnt Java, Javascript, SQL, HTML, CSS, client interaction, team working, presenting and finding solutions are the main skills I have developed.
I really enjoy working with CGI and the university and am very glad I applied for the degree apprenticeship. I enjoy the work environment and everyone is very supportive.
Very well organised. I have weekly catch ups with my mentors and quarterly catch ups with my university coach to ensure I am on track and my programme is structured.
I receive a day of study leave per week along with extra time within work to complete university assignments. I have weekly catch ups with my mentors and quarterly catch ups with my university skills coach to ensure I am on track and to support me with any issues.
My training provider sets up quarterly meetings to ensure I am supported within university along with employees dedicated to reviewing our university work prior to the assessment deadline to provide any extra assistance. We receive feedback on each assignment and our lecturers are also on hand to help.
University has provided me with coding experience and business skills to apply into the workplace within my role. They also set up sessions to help with time management, stress management, etc to ensure you are well supported and able to excel in your role.
We do CSR events regularly to get involved in community initiatives. We have sports teams including football and badminton events for us to take part in as well as professional networking events that are subsidized for us to take part in - this can include meals, horse racing and running events as a few examples.

It is a great company dedicated to supporting you in your career. You have plenty of opportunities to expand your skills and try out new roles to decide what's right for you. You are also pushed to excel and are given support within your role to assist you when needed.
I would advise you to take up the opportunity as it is an excellent and enjoyable experience. Try out everything you can and widen your skillset where possible.
