  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My programme is enjoyable, meeting new people with all backgrounds and growing within the industry knowing that people my age coming out of uni with just a degree are fare less employable compared to someone like me that has a degree and 5 years of industry experience.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme within the company is well structured, with colleagues in the right position to help and assist me through the journey. Without these people, I would struggle to progress in the industry and see a future for myself. The company has won many awards regarding the apprenticeship and is well known for the best in the industry.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support I receive from my employer is greatly appreciated. If I need help with anything within work or at uni the company is willing to help and always on my side. We have a dedicated team to help us through our T&D programme and they have a good connection with people outside the business to reach out and help out.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support I receive from my training provider I would say could be improved. Sometimes I believe they forget that we work a 9-5 day job and overload us with work and different documents.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Through my training provider I believe 20% of the knowledge is used while the other 80% is learnt from experience on the job and working with well experienced engineers within the industry. Although it is a well tailored qualification, specific for the job, I believe more can be done maybe in a more practical role to help with this.
