I work as a Data Analyst in the Living Places department at Balfour Beatty. My responsibilities include generating detailed reports and creating visualizations to showcase the performance of our contracts. Additionally, I identify and analyze anomalies to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have enhanced my proficiency in using multiple systems, including Confirm and Excel. I am skilled in writing complex formulas and adept at applying statistical analysis techniques such as descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The course I completed has provided me with a valuable qualification and equipped me with knowledge that I apply daily in the workplace.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Balfour Beatty has been excellent in providing clear steps for my apprenticeship. The course was easy to follow and included a tutor who was always available to answer any questions.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

My line manager has been extremely supportive, sharing her knowledge generously and providing valuable guidance. She has been excellent at giving me challenges that push me to achieve my best.

My tutor was great. We had regular meetings to discuss my progress and address any queries I had.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification has provided a solid foundation for building my knowledge. It has also opened my eyes to various types of data analysis, which I have since been able to apply in my role.

Yes, my contract is hosting a football tournament. Additionally, Balfour Beatty provides two residential trips for early career professionals.
