From training courses, day to day testing and maintenance, to shadowing renewals of railway equipment. Days vary, this could be weeks of online or in classroom training and assignments to being out on track fixing equipment with a team.
All skills that have been taught so have been new, only a previous experience with using tools
I am enjoying the program so far.
It is somewhat well structured, the spacing of training can be a bit limited so making it tiresome when traveling back and forth
There is always support. In a good team surrounded by good people, the apprenticeship team is always there if you need a hand too.
There is somewhat good support, it’s there when you are learning and also there when completing your assignments if you need that extra support
There are networking events, personally haven’t been involved.
Yes
Good support, good pay, well looked after, supported in developing new skills
Always think health and safety, the effort you put into the apprenticeship you’ll see at the other end of it. I would manage your free time well and get a social and work balance set.
