  • Graduate Town Planner day to day responsibilities are site apprasials, planning notes, policy reviews, monitoring, planning statements & contact with clients.

  • Yes - great large-scale project experience with becoming a planner.

  • large extent.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Internally/Externally separately are organised well with training in house positive and university day helpful but sometimes is a lack of communication between, often on the student to explain the university processes to employer & lack of awareness of regular deadlines.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • a fair amount considering i am being paid to study - expected that work comes first.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • fair amount, know the APC will receive a large amount & i have raised the issue of the OTJ through my summer period off.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am improving drastically, getting both theoretical and practical experience.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes - could be more considering recent budget cuts to whole departmental socials. It is down to grads to push people for after work drinks/networking.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
  • Be yourself, don't worry about experience, just ensure that you recognise property is a people business and you have to be personable. Wherever you end up in the business you will spend a majority of your time talking to clients, other consultants and most importantly your team!
