Working as part of consulting teams on DB pension scheme clients.
I have learnt lots of new technical and actuarial skills in my role so far, as well as developing soft skills around consulting.
I enjoy having a mix of work and study and being able to learn on and off the job. There can be lots to balance between work and study but there is lots of support with this.
The apprenticeship programme is well organised with regular check in calls which give opportunities to discuss progress and any action needed.
I receive good support from my employer, including having a study mentor and buddy for support and guidance.
I receive good support from BPP when studying for the actuarial exams, having attended in person tutorials and had a range of study materials and opportunities to complete assignments and mock exams.
The actuarial qualification is an important part of progressing in my career, I can see how it will be important for work in the future.
There are regular office socials and opportunities to network and socialise with colleagues.
Yes
It is a great company to work for with lots of support and good career opportunities.
Make sure you research and understand the requirements and commitments of taking the actuarial exams and be yourself in the interviews!
