  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I support stakeholders on a daily basis by answering ambiguous questions through data.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. My job placement perfectly supported my apprenticeship. I got to learn from experienced team members and use different Applications and versions of SQL.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I work with a supportive team and got lucky with a very efficient assessor.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Definitely could be better. There was a lack of information about how long the apprenticeship would last/if we could finish early. This was miss communicated at the start and then something different re-laid 6 months in.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My team offer lots of support. I especially liked that I got 1 day a week to do my apprenticeship during work time and that I was pushed to make sure I took it. Natwest also offers lots of training options and benefits that support mental health which was also useful.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • This was poor at the beginning when I did a boot camp. This however was a new process and had lots of teething issues. Once I was on the actual programme my assessor always answered quickly and gave lots of help when needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I would have naturally learnt most of the things covered in my apprenticeship through my role as I was put in the perfect team. There were only a few things I learnt on the apprenticeship that were new. The mete skills though were really helpful and made a big difference.

    6/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There were a good amount of activities and meet ups through the early career team.

  • 9a. Would you recommend NatWest Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a fantastic company to work for that genuinely cares about it's employees and gives you all the tools you need to succeed.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest Group?
  • Don't be put off by not having a tech background. I was a nursery teacher before. When applying I talked about how my skills in communication and organisation of paperwork would be valuable and how it would relate to a tech industry.
