A 4 year role where i complete placements in different departments of the business. The goal of these placements is to build a solid foundation of knowledge which can then be used for me to personally specialize in which sector I wish to continue into
I have learnt a variety of skills both in the office and at college College skills - CAD, mechanical assemblies, installation and testing, Health and safety understanding Office skills - Order management within company, customer support, returns policy, technical support on products
I enjoy the variety of my apprenticeship as i get to learn something every day.
There is a set structure/framework for my program, this involves a comprehensive overview of what i will learn in each of my placements across the different business departments and what units i will cover in my college course
Constant support form my direct line manager, involving 121 conversations and then online feedbacks which are done monthly
Constant support from my tutor within college and then a 3 way conversation between myself, tutor and line manager every 10 weeks covering my progress in college and any feedback i may wish to give
College provides further understanding specifically in electrical knowledge when relating it to work. I am able to relate some of the processes which i have covered in work within my course work to provide a real example
I am involved in DofE and various stem events currently, there has also been opportunities to attend networking events which i have done and there is also sports events such as the schneider paris marathon and volunteering days
