Admin assistant mainly supporting the Environmental, Health & Safety department. This involves diary management, e-mail communications, regular safety bulletins, support with data analysis and training matrix development.
I developed existing skills including EHS management system fundamentals, auditing and was able to use my creativity for projects.
The programme was okay and built on knowledge I already had. However due to multiple issues with the provider there were times I Felt forgotten and left to my own devices. The course had zero taught aspects and I basically self taught myself on everything.
I found it was not structured well for myself.
My direct line manager has been very supportive and has helped with various aspects. I felt I learned more from my manager than I did from the course itself.
The last tutor who took over as my tutor for the programme was lovely and did try her best but for the majority of the programme I felt I received next to no support for the course.
It helped refresh previous knowledge.
Work runs several corporate social responsibility events throughout the year, as well as an annual employee summer get together and occasional quiz nights.

Overall it has been a great place to work. Very supportive and offering great opportunities if you want them.
Be proactive. Don't wait for things to be handed to you. Get involved in events regularly and be prepared to show up and contribute for projects.
