At Siemens Healthineers, my role is to maintain machines that analyse blood samples within pathology labs across the country.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

During my apprenticeship at Siemens Healthineers, I have developed my own personal skills greatly, having become a more confident person in daily life.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I have enjoyed the amount of things I have learned on this programme. I feel I have massively developed my skills and knowledge base, and have enjoyed the entire apprenticeship.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

At Siemens Healthineers, the apprenticeship is very well structured and has plenty of support from the entire team.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

Siemens Healthineers provides lots of support and help at any point; the entire team is always approachable and friendly.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider has given continuous support and has always been contactable when I’ve faced any issues.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification ensures that the core principles; knowledge base, skills and behaviours are all made aware to me and that I have demonstrated I conform to them.

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Twice a year, Siemens Healthineers hosts an Apprentice Forum event at one of its sites or customer sites for an educational tour of the site. At these forums there is team building activities and a chance to see areas of the business you wouldn’t otherwise see.

Siemens Healthineers has been an excellent employer and the overall apprenticeship experience has been brilliant. I have felt supported the entire way and have really enjoyed it.
