My project control role within BAE Systems consists of controlling the Resource Planning process for all the 'Salam Support' Contracts. This invovles holding numerous reviews with stakeholders of varying authority. I have to produce reporting packs and control the inputs to a larger, central resourcing team which is fed up the business in a hierarchical manner.

I have enjoyed the apprenticeship so far and I have enjoyed my role.
I feel quite valued within the company as I am well looked after by my Line Manager, my team, the college and by my course co-ordinators. Due to the size of BAE Systems as a whole, it can sometimes seem like a voice at the lower levels may not be heard...but this is not always the case as everyone above is prepared to listen.
There was some initial problems with the college that we attend with some students being told different things to other students, causing confusion between the group. Sometimes class sizes have been a problem due to resourcing issues but i feel that this has been ironed out as the course has progressed.
As stated above, there have been some problems with the college but I do not feel that support is one of them. Our tutors always offer help if needed.
There is support available at work at all times, line managers and course co-ordinators are alweays prepared to put some time aside to help with any questions or problems.
I feel that the salary that I receive is brilliant and I am now able to run a car (despite horrendous insurance costs!) and pay for all the things that I require on a monthly basis.

I think that it is a great company to work for that rewards its employees with a good salary. I also think that the ability to "earn-while-you-learn" is too good to miss out on (especially with rising education costs)
I would advise people to be themselves and not to try and lie to get a position within the company. I would also advise people to try and improve their CV before they apply in order to stand out amongst other candidates.
