  • Gaining skills specific to how EY runs - e.g. with their online systems and presentation requirements Development in skills areas you would like to work on - e.g. asking for work based on excel General business environment skills through working with teams and visiting client sites.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy all areas of my programme it provides a great balance between working on client projects, meeting other professionals within EY and attending networking events with my peers.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by EY?
  • I feel very valued by EY, there is always someone to ask if required and you are always welcomed onto project teams and given work to complete as part of the project aims.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised, you always know where you will be working and there are regular opportunities to meet with the organiser to discuss where you will be next working

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Great support, you are given the opportunity to put forward the areas you want to improve in and targets you want to set yourself over the course of the summer work and have regular meetings to check you are meeting those targets.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Similar to above, you are given a councillor who helps you set goals to achieve and helps you keep track of meeting those goals. At the end of the summer your achievement of targets you set are rated out of 5.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary covers the costs and above. Accomodation was provided in the first year too.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are many opportunities within the scholarship to meet up. Networking is highly encouraged within EY and so you are welcome to email professionals to network as well as organised networking quizzes and evenings within your area if you look for them.

  • 9. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Lots of support and career prospects, lots of advice and help to move forward in your area and find out more about where you want to be.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • Always say yes to attending events and don't be shy asking other EY professionals to coffee if you want to find out more about what they do. Be confident and research your area.
